Leslie Watkins

Leslie Watkins focuses on real property acquisitions, dispositions, leasing and other large- and small-scale real estate development. She represents clients in real estate transactions, including the development, acquisition and disposition of shopping centers, retail developments, multifamily developments, and office projects.

Chuck Woods

Attorney

Charles Woods earned his J.D. from SMU in 1988. He provided valuable assistance during a federal jury trial of the first lender liability case in Texas. He directed research on “Bankruptcy Code Section 365” and was selected for the Moot Court team and Board. He has 30+ years of concurrent experience in Real Estate Litigation and general practice matters.

  • Chuck Woods has over 30 years of experience representing business and real estate clients throughout Texas, with a focus on commercial litigation and bankruptcy matters. Chuck provided valuable assistance during the first lender liability case in Texas - a federal jury trial.

    In addition to his extensive experience as a trial attorney, Chuck has served as Chairman of the National Affairs Committee of the Irving Chamber of Commerce, and as a board member of the Dallas Symphony.

Megan Stewart

COO

Megan joined the team at Tate Legal Counsel, P.C. in 2019 as a Legal Administrative Assistant. Her hard work and dedication soon became an invaluable asset for the firm, earning her first promotion to Paralegal. Now she serves as our Chief Operations Officer where she is responsible for facilities planning, HR, accounting, budget planning, and management. Additionally, she manages the IT department to implement the firm’s policies, procedures, and programs, to better serve the requirements of the firm’s attorneys.

  • Alongside her role as Chief Operations Officer, Megan is the Senior Paralegal working primarily in the areas of corporate and securities law, where she manages formation of corporate entities, SEC compliance, and related corporate matters. Megan is also in charge of client on boarding, billing and invoicing, and a variety of back-office duties. Megan believes that it doesn’t matter what hat you’re wearing — you roll up your sleeves, extend a hand to whoever might need it and jump into the trenches with the team.
